Are the online classes synchronous? Do I need to be online during class hours?

The DLUP program is a fully flexible online program, which means you can take them anywhere and anytime. All classes (except in P210.1) are held asynchronously, and all quizzes, discussion forums, and exams will be administered through MyPortal, UPOU's learning management system. In case there are supplemental synchronous sessions, students will not be required to attend them, and the session recording will be uploaded to the course site.

In P210.1 (Urban Planning Workshop), consultation sessions with the Faculty-In-Charge are done virtually. However, the course might involve face-to-face meetings in addition to these virtual sessions. In this course, students must collaborate with an LGU to prepare or update a planning output. Hence, there are usually face-to-face workshops with LGU stakeholders. To address the limitations of our students, they are grouped in terms of their geographical location. For instance, students from the same or proximate regions are grouped together. The group and the LGU can also organize hybrid and virtual planning sessions. Ultimately, we promise that P210.1 will be a great learning experience.
